InboxGenius detects Notes fields set by SpamSentinel and SMTP headers set by DuoCircle's cloud email scanning products. No user action required — flagged messages are moved before the user sees them.
Before routing a flagged message to Junk, InboxGenius checks whether the user has previously sent mail to that sender. If the sender is found in the user's sent mail, the spam verdict is overridden and the message is delivered to the inbox — unless the user has set a conflicting preference through a drag-and-drop action. Optionally, this lookup can check other users' mail files for sent-mail history, though this is configurable and may add overhead in large environments.
InboxGenius tracks when users drag messages between folders — Inbox, Junk, and optional folders like -Newsletters and -Spam. It remembers which folder each user last chose for each sender and applies that routing to future messages automatically.
