Be sure to change your POP3 and IMAP settings
Remember: an SMTP server can only handle outgoing mail. This means that if you use an email client to access your Gmail account, not only will you need to set up the SMTP relay service, but also the POP3 or IMAP server.
POP3 and IMAP are servers that handle incoming mail. Without setting up POP3 or IMAP, you’ll be able to send emails but not receive them.
